Roman Coppola

Roman François Coppola (lahir 22 April 1965) merupakan seorang aktor, sutradara, produser dan penulis naskah Amerika Serikat. Dengan film Moonrise Kingdom tahun 2012, ia dan sutradara Wes Anderson mendapatkan nominasi Academy Award kategori Skenario Asli Terbaik. Serial televisinya Mozart in the Jungle mendapatkan Golden Globe Award kategori Serial Televisi Terbaik – Musikal atau Komedi. Pada tahun 2019, ia diundang untuk menjadi anggota Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Roman Coppola menjadi presiden perusahaan film American Zoetrope di San Francisco. Ia juga merupakan pendiri dan pemilik The Directors Bureau, perusahaan produksi komersial dan video musik.

Latar belakang

Roman Coppola merupakan anak kedua dari penulis dan pembuat dokumenter Eleanor Neil Coppola dan sutradara film Francis Ford Coppola. Ia lahir di Rumah Sakit Amerika di Neuilly-sur-Seine, ketika ayahnya di Paris membantu menulis naskah Is Paris Burning? Ketika ia masih kecil, ia berperan kecil dalam film The Godfather dan The Godfather Part II. Ia menempuh pendidikan di Tisch School of the Arts, Universitas New York.
