Basilios Bessarion
Basilios (atau Basilius) Bessarion (Yunani: Βασίλειος Βησσαρίων; 2 Januari 1403 – 18 November 1472), seorang kardinal uskup Katolik dan Patriark Latin Konstantinopel tituler, adalah salah satu cendekiawan Yunani yang berkontribusi terhadap kebangkitan besar kesuastraan pada abad ke-15. Ia dididik oleh Gemistus Pletho dalam filsafat Neoplatonik.[1] Ia juga disebut sebagai Johannes Bessarion atau Giovanni Bessarione.
