Warez
Warez adalah istilah dalam komputasi umum dan budaya internet yang mengacu pada perangkat lunak bajakan (disalin secara ilegal, sering kali setelah penonaktifan atau perusakan tindakan anti-pembajakan) yang didistribusikan melalui Internet. Pengelakan perlindungan salinan (perengkahan) adalah langkah penting dalam menghasilkan warez. Berdasarkan mekanisme umum ini, definisi yang berfokus pada perangkat lunak telah diperluas untuk mencakup materi yang dilindungi hak cipta lainnya, termasuk film dan permainan video.
Distribusi dan perdagangan karya berhak cipta tanpa pembayaran biaya atau royalti umumnya melanggar undang-undang dan perjanjian hak cipta nasional dan internasional. Istilah warez mencakup baik properti yang masih didukung dan yang telah diabaikan (abandonware), dan larangan hukum yang mengatur pembuatan dan distribusi warez mencakup generator dan distributor yang mengambil keuntungan termasuk para "penggemar" dan penikmat dari barang-barang bajakan tersebut.
