This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code kn to include articles in Category:Articles containing bahasa Kannada-language text, if the category was created (using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |bahasa Kannada |kn}}). For example: {{Lang |kn |some text in bahasa Kannada}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="kn">. Also available is {{Lang-kn |some text in bahasa Kannada}} which displays as bahasa Kannada: some text in bahasa Kannada.
It is used by {{kn icon}} and {{Link language|kn}} to display the language of an external link. These templates could add articles to Category:Articles with bahasa Kannada-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=kn |name=bahasa Kannada}}).
