Sejarah Sankt-Peterburg
Kota Sankt-Peterburg didirikan oleh Tsar Pyotr yang Agung pada tanggal 27 Mei 1703. Kota ini menjadi ibu kota Kekaisaran Rusia dan bertahan selama lebih dari dua ratus tahun (1712–1728, 1732–1918). Sankt-Peterburg berhenti menjadi ibu kota pada tahun 1918 pasca Kudeta Oktober.[1]
