Propaganda Amerika Serikat pada Perang Dunia II
Saat Amerika Serikat terlibat akhir dalam Perang Dunia II (1941–45), propaganda dipakai untuk meningkatkan dukungan dan komitmen bagi kemenangan Sekutu. Memakai berbagai media, para propagandis menimbulkan kebencian terhadap pihak musuh dan dukungan bagi sekutu-sekutu Amerika, menimbulkan upaya publik yang lebih besar bagi produksi perang dan taman kemenangan, orang-orang menyimpan beberapa material mereka sehingga material lainnya dapat digunakan untuk upaya perang, dan menjual bon-bon perang. Patriotisme menjadi tema sentral dari periklanan sepanjang perang, karena kampanye-kampanye berskala besar meluncurkan penjualan bon-bon perang, mempromosikan efisiensi pabrik-pabrik, mengurangi rumor-rumor tak diinginkan, dan mengutamakan moral warga sipil. Perang tersebut mengkonsolidasikan peran industri periklanan dalam masyarakat Amerika, menepis kritikan pada masa sebelumnya.[1]
