Prof. Mohamad Ali Fulazzaky, Ph.D adalah Guru Besar Bidang Ilmu Teknologi Pangan[1], ilmuan Indonesia yang masuk dalam Top 2% Scientist in the World: Single Year Impact 2021-2022 berdasarkan data yang dirilis oleh Stanford University dan Elsevier Report pada tahun 2022.[2] Saat ini juga menjabat sebagai Rektor Universitas Djuanda Penggantian Antar Waktu (PAW) Masa Bakti 2022-2026.[3]

Prof. Mohamad Ali Fulazzaky, Ph.D lahir di Desa Meugit Kayee Panyang, Kecamatan Bandar Dua, Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, Aceh. Putra dari Bapak H. Muhammad Jusuf Arsjad dan Ibu Hj. Rukiyah Ismail. Ia mengenyam pendidikan Sekolah Madrasah Ibtidayah Negeri (MIN) Meugit 7, lulus tahun 1972. Dilanjutkan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri Uleegle, lulus tahun 1975. Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri Bireuen, lulus tahun 1979.[4]

Kemudian melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi Sarjana Muda Bidang Kimia dari tahun 1980 sampai tahun 1984 dan Sarjana Bidang Kimia Fisik dari tahun 1984 sampai tahun 1986 di Institut Teknologi Bandung. Lalu melanjutkan Master Engineering Bidang Teknik dan Manajemen Air dari tahun 1991 sampai tahun 1992 di Ecole Nationale des Travaux Public de l’Etat, Prancis, dan Master Science Bidang Pengolahan Air dan Teknik Lingkungan dari tahun 1992 sampai tahun 1993 di Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse, Prancis. Terakhir, PhD bidang Kimia dan Mikrobiologi Air dari tahun 1993 sampai tahun 1996 di Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour, Prancis.[5]
