Memang asal nama paus ini berasal dari cairan yang ditemukan di kepalanya yang mirip sperma, namun bukan. Kalo gak salah denger di National Geographic atau Discovery memang disebut ikan paus sperma. Roscoe x 15:46, 21 Juli 2005 (UTC)

Kalau yg wa tau, di dalam kepala paus sperma itu ada cairan bernama spermaseti (spermaceti) yg membantunya mengapung & menyelam, jadi mungkin itulah sebabnya dia diberi nama paus sperma... Petrel (bicara) 12:01, 23 Juli 2009 (UTC)
