Mary Ward

Mary Ward (née King; 27 April 1827 – 31 Agustus 1869) adalah seorang naturalis, astronom, mikroskopis, penulis dan seniman Inggris-Irlandia.[1] Ia meninggal saat ia jatuh di bawah roda mobil uap eksperimental yang dibuat oleh para sepupunya. Karena peristiwa tersebut terjadi pada tahun 1869, ia menjadi orang pertama yang diketahui tewas akibat kendaraan bermotor.[2]

Mentxaka, deals with the life of Mary Ward and her friendship with the pioneer photographer, designer, and architect Mary Rosse (née Field). – the play was premiered at the Sean O'Casey Theatre Dublin on 5 November 2013. A second production was staged in Smock Alley Theatre Dublin in August 2014.
