Louis Veuillot
Louis Veuillot (11 Oktober 1813 – 7 Maret 1883) adalah seorang jurnalis dan pengarang Prancis yang membantu mempopulerkan ultramontanisme (sebuah filsafat yang menjunjung supremasi Kepausan).

suntingVeuillot lahir di sebuah keluarga pedesaan di Boynes (Loiret). Saat berusia lima tahun, orangtuanya pindah ke Paris. Dengan sedikit pendidikan, ia meraih pekerjaan di sebuah kantor pengacara, dan dikirim pada 1830 untuk bertugas pada sebuah surat kabar dari Rouen, dan setelah itu ke Périgueux. Ia kembali ke Paris pada 1837, dan setahun kemudian mengunjungi Roma pada Pekan Kudus. Disana, ia melepaskan sentimen ultramontane, dan menjadi pembela setia Katolik. Hasil dari peralihannya diterbitkan di Pélerinages en Suisse (1839), Rome et Lorette (1841) dan publikasi lainnya.[1]
