Kitab Exeter
Kitab Exeter, Exeter Cathedral Library MS 3501, juga dikenal sebagai Codex Exoniensis, adalah sebuah kitab (akhir) abad ke-X[1] atau kodeks puisi Anglo-Saxon. Kitab Exeter merupakan salah satu dari empat kodeks sastra Anglo-Saxon utama, bersama dengan Kitab Vercelli, Nowell Codex dan Naskah Cædmon (ms. Junius 11). Kitab itu disumbangkan ke perpustakaan Katedral Exeter oleh Leofric,[2] uskup Exeter pertama, pada 1072. Diyakini awalnya berisi 130[3]/131 lembar, di mana 7[3]/8 pertama telah diganti dengan lembar lain; 8 halaman pertama yang asli hilang. Kitab Exeter adalah kumpulan puisi/sastra Inggris Kuno yang terbesar (dan mungkin tertua[4]) yang diketahui masih ada,[2][5][6] yang berisi sekitar seperenam puisi.[2][7]
Pada 2016, UNESCO mengakui kitab tersebut sebagai "volume dasar sastra Inggris, salah satu artefak budaya utama dunia".[8][9][10]
