Joel Barlow
Joel Barlow (24 Maret 1754 – 26 Desember 1812) adalah seorang penyair, diplomat, dan politikus asal Amerika Serikat.[1] Ia merupakan pendukung revolusi Prancis dan demokrasi Jefferson.

Pada masanya, Barlow dikenal karena menulis Vision of Columbus,[2] walaupun pembaca modern lebih mengenali karyanya yang berjudul The Hasty-Pudding (1793). Ia juga membantu merumuskan Traktat Tripoli pada tahun 1796, yang mengandung kalimat kontroversial "pemerintah Amerika Serikat tidak dilandaskan pada agama Kristen..."[3]
