Friedrich Kratochwil
Friedrich Kratochwil (lahir 1944 di Břeclav, Moravia) adalah dosen universitas Jerman yang menuntut ilmu di Universitas Munich sebelum pindah ke Amerika Serikat. Ia mendapatkan gelar PhD dari Universitas Princeton.
Sejarah
suntingSalah satu bukunya yang terkenal adalah Rules, Norms and Decisions (1989). Di sana ia memperkenalkan aliran konstruktivisme, sebuah kajian penting dalam ilmu hubungan internasional. Setelah menghabiskan sekian puluh tahun di Amerika Serikat, ia kembali ke Eropa untuk mengajar di Universitas Munich. Saat ini ia mengajar hubungan internasional di Institut Universitas Eropa di Firenze, Italia. Ia menjabat sebagai penyunting European Journal of International Relations dan anggota dewan redaksi beberapa jurnal seperti Journal of International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, International Studies Quarterly, International Organization, dan World Politics. Ia juga merupakan anggota dewan penasihat redaksi Millennium: Journal of International Studies.
