Dorothy L. Sayers
Dorothy Leigh Sayers (/ˈsɛərz/ ;[1] 13 Juni 1893 – 17 Desember 1957) adalah seorang penulis kejahatan, penyair, pengarang drama, esayis, penerjemah dan Humanis Kristen asal Inggris. Ia juga merupakan murid bahasa klasik dan modern. Dia belajar di Somerville College, Oxford lulus pada tahun 1915. Sayers memperoleh gelar sastra pada abad pertengahan di Universitas Oxford. Dia merupakan perempuan pertama yang lulus dari Universitas Oxford.[2]

Ia dikenal atas karya-karya misterinya, serangkaian novel dan cerpen yang berlatar belakang Perang Dunia Pertama dan Kedua yang menampilkan aristokrat dan pemeriksa amatir Lord Peter Wimsey yang ditulisnya di novel Whose Body yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1923[3] dan masih populer pada masa sekarang.
