Chiquita
Chiquita Brands International Inc. adalah produsen dan distributor pisang dan produk makanan lainnya. Perusahaan ini . berkantor pusat di Charlotte, North Carolina.[1] Chiquita adalah penerus perusahaan United Fruit Company dan menguasai pangsa pasar distribusi pisang di Amerika Serikat. Perusahaan ini juga menjadi pemilik dari perusahaan distributor asal Jerman, Atlanta AG, yang diakuisisi tahun 2003. Chiquita sebelumnya dimiliki oleh pebisnis asal Cincinnati, Carl Lindner, Jr., yang saham mayoritasnya di perusahaan tersebut berakhir setelah kebangkrutan pada tahun 2002. Perusahaan ini lalu berganti nama menjadi Chiquita.

Pada bulan Maret 2014, Chiquita dan Fyffes mengumumkan persetujuan merger menjadi ChiquitaFyffes dalam transaksi per saham di mana saham Chiquita akan setara dengan 50.7% dari perusahaan merger. Merger ini akan membentuk perusahaan distributor pisang terbesar di dunia.[2]
