English: The full poster as scanned does not have a perceptible copyright notice; it's likely that the poster, as printed and distributed in 1931, did not carry a notice either. But regardless of whether the original poster had a notice, the copyright for the artwork was not renewed in 1958 or 1959 (see the sections for "Artwork: Original registrations and renewals" and refer to the links). Copyright lapsed at that time. Note that the poster is a distinct work from the film and had to be renewed in its own.
Note that it may still be copyrighted in jurisdictions that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works (depending on the date of the author's death), such as Canada (70 years p.m.a.), Mainland China (50 years p.m.a., not Hong Kong or Macao), Germany (70 years p.m.a.), Mexico (100 years p.m.a.), Switzerland (70 years p.m.a.), and other countries with individual treaties.
Posisi resmi Wikimedia Foundation adalah bahwa "faithful reproductions of two-dimensional public domain works of art are public domain, and that claims to the contrary represent an assault on the very concept of a public domain". Untuk detilnya, lihat Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag. Oleh karena itu, perbanyakan fotografis ini juga dianggap berada pada domain publik.
