Binnie Hale in her dressing room at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, as she puts the finishing touches to her make-up. Her fellow actor in 'Flying Colours' is Douglas Byng and his quick-change routine 'Revivals' is just about to begin. Binnie always helps him with his changes in the wings.

The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946.
