Aileen Tan
Aileen Tan (lahir 18 Oktober 1966) adalah aktris berkebangsaan Singapura. Dia memasuki dunia industri hiburan melalui film perhelatan Star Search tahun 1988. Ailen menempuh pendidikan di Willow Secondary School. Dalam kariernya sebagai aktris, 15 tahun terakhir, Aileen seing dipercaya menjadi pemeran utama.

Namanya dikenal sebagai aktris yang masuk nominasi Aktris Terbaik dalam Star Awards. Di kategori dan penghargaan yang sama, dia juga masuk nominasi dalam 1995, 1996, 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2003; dia memenangi penghargaan pada tahun 2001 untuk peran utamanya dalam film Three Women and a Half, sebagai seorang manajer advertising di sebuah perusahaan.
Aileen berhenti dari dunia hiburan televisi pada tahun 2005. 2006, dia tampil dalam dua profil dalam drama Women of Times dan Measure of Man, yang kemudian meraih posisi ke-dua dalam rating televisi tahun 2006. However, Aileen tidak dinominasikan dalam Star Awards 2006. Dia juga tampil dalam drama berbahasa Inggris. Tahun 2000, dia bermain sebagai Mae dalam serial drama terpanjang di MediaCorp Channel 5 berjudul Growing Up. Kemudian pada tahun 2009, dia memerankan sebagai Suzanne Kong, dalam 40 episode drama Red Thread. Lawan mainnya antara lain Adrian Pang dan Patrick Teoh.
Tahun 2013, Aileen menerima penghargaan "Best Actress in a Supporting Role" dalam Asian Television Awards (ATA) ke-18 untuk perannya dalam The Day It Rained On Our Parade yang cuma tampil dalam empat episode.[1] Hanya Ailen dan Jeffrey Xu (yang memenangi "Best Supporting Actor") yang menjadi pemenang dalam ATA tahun 2013. Pada 29 Mei 2015 diungkapkan bahwa Aileen akan menjadi pemeran utama dalam film arahan Jack Neo berjudul Long Long Time Ago bersama Mark Lee dan Wang Lei.[2]

Personal life
suntingAileen's parents are of Hokkien descent and she married Hong Kong director Gerald in 2002. She had experienced an ectopic pregnancy in Year 2005, which eventually led to an abortion.
Her close friends in the entertainment industry include local award-winning actress Huang Biren, Pan Lingling as well as Hong Kong celebrity Jacqueline Law. It was reported that Law stayed at Aileen's house in Singapore to recuperate after becoming partially deaf after a diving accident in 1999, and to get away from the media glare in Hong Kong.[3]

suntingOn 10 March 2007, Aileen was voted as the most popular actress aged 40 and above by TV audience. She beat down hot favourites such as Xiang Yun who was a nominee in the poll.
