Aborsi selektif jenis kelamin adalah praktik dari penentuan sebuah kehamilan yang berdasarkan pada jenis kelamin yang diprediksi dari janin. Aborsi selektif terhadap janin perempuan sangat umum di kawasan-kawasan dimana norma-norma kebudayaan lebih menghargai anak laki-laki ketimbang anak perempuan, khususnya di sebagian Asia Timur dan Asia Selatan (terutama di negara-negara seperti Republik Rakyat Tiongkok, India dan Pakistan), serta di Kaukasus dan Balkan Barat.[1][2][3]
